Dr Hoang’s project will tackle the critical issues of toxicity, environmental impact, and instability in metal halide perovskite materials — key barriers to their use in commercial solar cells.
In collaboration with Halocell Australia, Dr Hoang aims to develop:
✅ Green-solvent solution processes
✅ Tin-based (lead-free) perovskite solar cells
✅ Scalable fabrication methods for safer, more sustainable photovoltaic technologies
“Australia needs better fabrication processes for next-generation PSCs so we can increase market adoption of commercially viable technology with minimal risk in production,” said Dr Hoang.
