🔬 Perovskite Materials and Devices
Our research focuses on the development of advanced perovskite materials and next-generation photovoltaic devices aimed at delivering high-performance, stable, and scalable solar energy solutions. We explore innovative material synthesis, green solvent processing, interface engineering, and device optimization to unlock the full potential of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) for real-world applications.

Perovskite Materials
Perovskite materials are a class of crystalline compounds with a unique structure, typically following the formula ABX₃, where A and B are cations and X is an anion such as a halide. Their name comes from the mineral “perovskite,” but in modern materials science, they refer to a family of compounds known for their exceptional optoelectronic properties. In recent years, metal halide perovskites have gained global attention for their potential to revolutionize solar energy technologies.
What makes perovskites especially attractive is their remarkable combination of properties: they absorb light efficiently, have long carrier diffusion lengths, and can be processed at low temperatures using simple, low-cost techniques. Their composition can also be tuned to optimize performance for different applications, from harvesting sunlight to emitting light. These features make perovskites highly promising for a broad range of technologies including solar cells, light-emitting diodes (LEDs), photodetectors, and even X-ray imaging devices.
Our research focuses on unlocking the full potential of perovskite materials through novel chemical engineering, green solvent processing, and scalable fabrication methods. While perovskite-based solar cells have already achieved remarkable power conversion efficiencies, challenges remain in improving their long-term stability, environmental safety, and compatibility with industrial manufacturing. By addressing these challenges, we aim to contribute to the development of next-generation energy technologies that are not only efficient and affordable but also sustainable.
We are passionate about the cutting edge science and technology shaping our world today.
