Dr Jiaye Ye

Battery Reserach Group Leader

Dr. Ye is an DECRA Research Fellow who is an expert in electrochemical energy storage. He has more than ten years’s research experience in design, synthesis and construction of high-performance membranes and electrodes for energy storage devices. Jiaye works on constructing critical materials (membranes and electrodes) for high-performance energy storage devices, improving the efficiency, and enhancing the lifespan of batteries, and working on the development and application of clean energy. His current research focuses on redox flow batteries, sodium storage battery, lithium ion battery, and zinc metal battery.

Dr. Jiaye joined QUT as an ARC DECRA Fellow since June 2022. Before that, he is an assistant professor of the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (2020-2022). He serves as an assessor for ARC projects and a regular reviewer for some journals such as Angew. Chem. Int. Edit.Adv. Funct. Mater., Nano-Micro Lett.J. Energy Chem.SmallChem. Sci., Mater. Futures, J. Mater. Sci. Technol., etc.
